1. The Foundation of Raags and Scales
Improvisation always happens within a boundary. In an Online Hindustani music class, the Raag provides the boundary. This structure actually gives you MORE freedom because it removes the 'choice paralysis' of too many notes.
2. Call and Response
Music is a conversation. Try 'singing' a short phrase and then 'answering' it on your instrument. This internal dialogue is the basis of all great solos in Online Guitar class and beyond.
3. The Beauty of the 'Mistake'
In improvisation, there are no wrong notes, only 'wrong resolutions.' If you hit a note that sounds 'off,' move up or down a semitone. That tension and release is the essence of soul. We teach this 'fearless' approach in all our Best music classes.
